The SOTEMS monthly medicine drum circle is an opportunity to be part of a community dedicated to medicine ways though the collective rhythm of the drum; through playing, movement and ritual.

The virtues of the Medicine Drum are many and they enrich our lives physically, emotionally and spiritually. It's unique beat is the rhythmic heartbeat of the earth. Coming together with others to play and deepen our experience, knowledge and relationship with the drum is a richly exciting and healing journey.

The last Tuesday of each month we will meet around the fire pit at Ceres and together within the dreaming wheel enjoy and learn more about the Medicine Drum.

This offering is for anyone who has a Medicine Drum and wants to expand their connection to drumming, anyone who would like to be part of a circle dedicated to the healing properties of drumming or anyone interested in the shamanic nature of Medicine drum and the SOTEMS Dreaming Wheel.

Where and How

Last Tuesday of every month at 6.45 pm ( for a 7 pm start ) till 8.30pm. The circle will be held at the SOTEMS Sweatlodge Site in the cultural village at Ceres. Cost per circle is $20. Please wear comfortable and appropriate clothing for the weather and some food for communal sharing after.

For people without a drum there will be 3 loan Medicine drums available each circle.

Drum Facilitator

Dale-AllisonDale-Allison is a Ceremonial Leader within SOTEMS and long-term active member. She has explored both the Dreaming Wheel and Medicine Drum for many years. She is also a qualified Shamanic Practitioner, Community Development Worker and Expressive Arts facilitator. Her passion for medicine ways and community comes from lived experience and training in a variety of modalities, that support her personally and with people she holds space for.
